Trolls, Legends & the Hunt for the Golden Hop

Trolls are no ordinary brewers – they are legends who hide deep in the woods and brew beers that are as fierce and mysterious as their stories.

At the centre is the Hop Festival, a fierce competition under a magical oak tree in Mannheim Forest, where each troll tribe competes to brew the best beer. There is a centuries-old rivalry between the peaceful fairy trolls and the wild trolls – known to all as barbarians – fuelled by a secret: the legendary golden hops.

The fairy trolls stole this precious ingredient and hid it deep in a magical labyrinth. For years, its fate was a mystery – until the thoughtless words of a drunken troll in a forest pub revealed its secret. What followed was a wild chase full of brawls and daring moves that uncovered the labyrinth – but little remained of the golden hop. Anger flared, pride was wounded and the barbarians swore revenge. Now, armed with hops, water, wheat – and a few devious tricks – they prepare for the ultimate showdown. Before the next hop party, the troll masters are already brewing their strongest brew yet.
